Heather teaches Hatha Yoga from the Iyengar school. What sets Iyengar apart from most of the other Hatha Yoga schools is its focus on alignment, strength and flexibility. It develops concentration and ability to focus. It is an active yoga verses a passive yoga. "Active" stretching verses hanging in the joints. Heather hopes to teach you how to connect with your body in a deep way through the use of props, individual and partner poses. Heather's class is for those looking to build a stronger body, flexible muscles, and develop strong concentration skills. Breath is also an important role in yoga, so she works on developing a relationship with the breath. Yoga is an excellent art form for creating a deeper understanding of body and self, with added physical benefits of strength, balance and focus. |
