Animas City Rock, the 4-corners newest and most complete rock climbing, cross training, and outdoor education center, is proud to introduce it's 2002 outdoor guide and education services. ACR is lucky to have a unique, first class indoor climbing center in which we can teach basic or advanced techniques in an extremely safe environment, absent of the inherent risks and distractions which are unavoidable once you head outside. All of our outdoor climbing programs start with an indoor "classroom" session in which we address all the necessary safety and technical information that we will be using once we head to the crag. This simply means that as soon as we do head outside, you'll do a lot more climbing, and learning, and a lot less standing around and listening.

Our primary focus at ACR is to educate our clients. We do not believe in simply showing you a good time. We believe that in order to fully enjoy yourself, one must have a solid understanding of his or her surroundings. We feel that "solid" means more than just knowing how to tie a knot, and belay safely, it also means that one should learn about the local flora & fauna, geology & geography, wildlife, leave no trace wilderness ethics, and safety & survival skills. In other words ACR not only exhilarates but also educates.

Peak Bagging
Interested in bagging peaks? No problem. ACR's guides can take you to high country. The San Jaun Mountains located just north of Durango offer some of the best alpine climbing in the state. Don't forget to bring your camera...
